Bruno Zhu at House of Gaga

Hi, my name is Bruno. I’m 34 years old, and yes, hold your breath, I’m single! I’m 1,75m, gay, cisgender male with a long neck and penchant for eye rolls, courtesy of my mom. I majored in fashion design but life turned me into an artiste. Some people find me feminine, but what’s wrong in being a bit fruity, am I right!? I’m from Portugal, currently living between there and The Netherlands. My parents are Chinese immigrants, but you won’t find me chinamaxxing. The most Chinese thing I did this week was ordering a large bowl of wonton soup I had nobody to share with… I love long walks in shopping malls, sunsets by the waterfront, and listening to Amy Goodman narrating the apocalypse. My friends say I’m witty and very creative, but what they actually mean is that I’m very gay and sassy. You’ll find me in my art studio wondering where we have gone wrong as a civilisation. I love discussing politics, global warming and modernist design, but I also love listening to Ru girls shouting out the dolls on repeat. I’ve come to terms with how lonely I am, but don’t get me wrong, these simple joys make life worth living. I love making art. I love laughing about art. I love getting mad at art. I love being alive in a time where delusion has found a supreme form of expression that is nonsensical, ridiculous, totally useless, financially unsustainable and emotionally taxing. That’s art, which sounds very much like life itself. And that’s what I want to share with my partner, for I am ready to love you as I love myself.
