Literature

Turquoise

New York

Organized with Keren Cytter

Literature is an exhibition of drawings by seven contemporary artists. Their approaches to the medium range from casual to experimental, each teasing out the possibility of what a drawing can be or do. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with Keren Cytter, an artist, filmmaker, curator, and most recently, a teacher at the Kunstakademie in Münster, Germany. Drawings by two of her current students at the Kunstakademie are exhibited alongside work by friends and colleagues. If a conceptual thread were to exist among these artworks, it might be that drawing is something everyone intuitively knows.
