The exhibition consists of a spatially composed sculptural installation. Sculpted from everyday materials, the work relates to experiences of life, ageing, vitality and decay of both the body and material environments.
The works draw from the affective memory of the 1990s domestic sphere, lingering in the body and culture. They take shape in forms and things that carry an ambivalent spirit of desire, loss and attachment, mixed with warmth and ickiness. Reworked domestic textiles, objects, parts of furniture, and fragments of household appliances perform scenes of micro-drama that express both first-person experience and the layered life and relationships of the materials themselves. Covering and uncovering, meandering patterns, and cut or partially revealed structures fold into and bind with one another. Together they form everyday and emotional infrastructures: semi-open spaces of repetition, accumulation, weariness and persistence.
(The exhibition can also be seen as a hospice for materials and as cut-out poetics of recession.)

dylan ray arnold is a Pihlajamäki-based artist working with the material-poetic dimensions of everyday environments. Interested in sculpture, assemblage, drawing, printed matter, and installation, they seek to give form to nervous corporeal and mental spaces. arnold holds an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki, and also collaborates with visual artist Océane Bruel. Their work has been presented in solo and duo exhibitions at SIC Space, Forum Box, and HAM Gallery in Helsinki, as well as at In extenso and Glassbox in France. They have also participated in group exhibitions at Kiasma, Tallinn Art Hall, Gallery CC in Malmö, and Pauline Perplexe in France.
